Though Devon and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) have discussed marriage before, he might propose marriage afterwards.

Even though Victor and Nikki haven’t been married or a couple continuously since their first marriage in 1984, they always find their way back to each other. So the fact that their “anniversary” includes many years of break ups and make ups, what counts is their togetherness now.

It’s easy to imagine Abby getting caught up in the moment and gushing over Victor and Nikki’s happy marriage and Devon feeling the time is right to get married.

Abby has had her ups and downs and been around the marriage and divorce block a few times, so she might admit she hopes to have an everlasting love. A love like Victor and Nikki’s isn’t something one finds every day, or sometimes even in a lifetime.

Devon and Abby had been talking about marriage for a while, starting in July of 2023. They’ve built a loving family with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) so eventually they’ll want to make it official, since their commitment seems strong.

They are both interested in marriage, although none of their previous marriages worked out-for various reasons, this last time their own fault; they cheated with each other.

Both of their exes have moved on, Devon’s out of town and Abby’s with her niece Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), so maybe it’s Devon and Abby’s time to marry.

Even if Devon doesn’t pop the question right after that anniversary party, he certainly will eventually-but you have to admit, that kind of celebration might be inspirational in several ways!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Other Relationships Could Even Be Affected

Other relationships could even be affected if Devon and Abby get engaged and married-Devon’s birth father Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) just proposed to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

She turned down his ring and doesn’t think marriage is for them, but might still be stinging from her romance with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) if she was telling the truth!

Audra could change her mind after seeing Devon and Abby blissfully happy and decides it’s something she wants-if Tucker still wants her after her turning him down.

Tucker seems to be willing to wait and be patient-and Audra indicated she liked things the way they are. But if Abby and Devon marry, Tucker might step up his game with Audra, and she might see their happiness and say yes this time.
