According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Sharon Newman made her return to Genoa City. She fell off the canvas because actress Sharon Case was on vacation. On the Thursday, April 11 episode, she showed up at the Abbott Mansion to help the family with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

They’re concerned about her mental health. Ashley experienced blackout moments where she didn’t remember where she was. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has a feeling that she could have Dissociative Identity Disorder. He struggled with the same mental health disorder in the past.

Fans reacted to Sharon’s return on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards. Some Y&R fans are calling it a “waste of time.” One user argued that Sharon contributed little to the conversation.

They mostly spoke to Billy because of his experience with D.I.D. He already knew what Ashley was dealing with. All Sharon did was sit and take notes. “Sharon is no longer needed… they may as well get rid of her…” one fan wrote. “What a waste of our time and the actress’s time and the character’s time,” another user agreed.

“I think Sharon has become a useless character that has no story viability. They actually want us to believe that Chase was into her. Look at the differences in writing when Chase is with Summer vs. Sharon,” one fan mused.
