General Hospital star Evan Hofer has been a very busy man in front of the cameras thanks to all of the screen time that his character Dex has been getting. Well, according to the actor he has a very special way of learning his lines and it’s one that you wouldn’t otherwise expect. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Evan said that when it comes to learning his lines for the show, there is just one woman that he can count on more than anyone else: his mom. It’s something that he has been doing since he was a teen actor.
That shouldn’t surprise anyone, right? He put it this way to the publication, “I run my lines with my mom every day and we have it down to a science. And if she’s ever busy, I’m like, ‘What do I pay you for? [laughs] No, I don’t pay her. I do not do it by myself, however, so when she’s unavailable, I put my friends to work.”
He continued, “My mom even sees points that I miss every now and then. She’ll be like, ‘Well, you know that this is this, right?’ And I’m like, ‘I did not know. But now I have to print it in [on my script] like I already did, yes.’ She’s a GH fan as of two years ago. She’s just a smart cookie. And I say ‘cookie’ on purpose because her cookies are so wonderful.”
Without mom, we could only imagine how different things would look like for Evan and well, the rest of the world, too. Kudos to his mom for being such a supportive parent and of course, General Hospital fan!
