Days of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Melissa Reeves Is Back In Salem

Well, this certainly comes as quite the surprise! Days of Our Lives comings and goings say that actress Melissa Reeves is returning to Salem to reprise her role as Jennifer Rose Horton. The last time that she was seen on the canvas was back in 2021. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Days of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Melissa Reeves Is Back In Salem

According to TV Insider, Melissa said that she will be back just in time for the Thanksgiving episodes that will feature her former co-star, the late Bill Hayes. The actress said that because it’s been a very long time since she was last on a set of a daytime television series, she did have some concerns about returning to Days of Our Lives. That’s because she didn’t want anyone making comparisons between her and actress Cady McClain, who last played Jennifer on the show, too.

Melissa put it this way, “My one thing was, ‘I’m not taking this away from Cady. If this is Cady’s thing and she loves being here and she really loves playing this part, I don’t want to take it away from her. I’m so good either way.’ I’m a huge fan of Cady’s. I even Instagram messaged her, ‘Oh, my God, I’m so grateful you’re playing my part! I’m honored.’ But it worked out.”

The actress also said that she would love to return to the canvas with Matthew Ashford, but there’s just one problem. She said, “I told Matt, ‘I would even come back full time but the problem is, I don’t have a place to stay anymore.’ I always had family in Los Angeles but all the Reeveses have moved to Tennessee!”

Now, whether or not Melissa does come back full time or not remains to be seen, but there’s no doubt that fans can’t wait for November. It’ll be so much fun to see her on the canvas again!
