Donald Trump can’t help but feel disappointed over his daughter, Ivanka Trump. Even though she’s made it pretty clear that she wants nothing to do with the political world anymore and has even stepped out of her role as one of her father’s most trusted advisors, Donald knows that he needs someone like Ivanka to help him get back in the White House. But she has decided to focus on herself and her own personal life instead. This has certainly caused friction in their relationship. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
In an interview withThe Times, publicist R. Couri Hay put it this way, “I know he is disappointed and saddened. She was a secret weapon for the president.”
And while Ivanka did everything she could to support her father, it seems like her personal life was suffering and that is one of the reasons why she distanced herself from the former president. Hay added, “But the criticism from her New York friends was intense and she is fiercely protective of her children. I think she felt like she did her tour of duty and doesn’t want to go through it again.”
That said, Ivanka herself also said in a statement back in 2022 that she had decided to step away from the political spotlight not only for her sanity, but for the sake of her family, too. She said at the time, “I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.”
So far Ivanka herself has not made any additional comments about the matter but we will definitely update you with all of the latest details as they come in.
