The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Here’s What’s Next For Billy And Chelsea

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Billy and Chelsea are definitely walking on shaky ground. But that’s not necessarily their fault as they are trying to navigate Connor’s new situation with his mental health issues and his OCD. Actor Jason Thompson, who plays Billy on the hit CBS soap, recently opened up about what’s next for the couple. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Jason says that this is definitely not the first time that he and Chelsea have been in a similar situation like this. After all, Chelsea almost tried to kill herself. Jason explained to the publication in a new interview, “Billy and Chelsea feeling all the stuff they’ve been through with her on the roof [when she was contemplating suicide] and his relationship with Lily ending, there’s been a lot of vulnerability and guilt, and then the honesty that they’ve been able to find with each other — but then this moment kind of happens that needs to be taken care of and it [involves] a kid. It just got real all over again and, ‘What does this mean for you? What does this to mean for us? What is this going to mean for your kid who I’ve come to really love?’”

He continued, “He’s a great kid and he’s going through some stuff. And I think me playing that character, sometimes I want to just say, ‘Look, he has been through a lot with your [suicide] attempt and everything else. And it makes sense that this [OCD] might happen to someone and it’s scary’, but I don’t even think he can say that to Chelsea yet, which is very interesting for me.”

He was also asked whether or not Billy and Adam Newman, who is Connor’s biological father, can be on the same page about the little boy and what he needs. Jason admitted right away that the two of them are never going to be the best of friends. He said, “They’ve done some pretty horrible things to each other, but Chelsea and Connor supersede all of that. The safest and most productive way forward is for Billy to try not to get involved, but he’s going to support Chelsea and he really does care about Connor. He would jump in a lake to save Adam’s kid.”
