During the latest episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis Summers did something that a lot of fans were hoping she would never do. She listened in on Christine and Danny while they were in their hotel suite making love. If that’s not reaching a whole new low, then we don’t know what is. If that weren’t enough, she also pulled the fire alarm to distract them. Talk about being desperate!

Of course, many Y&R fans have expressed just how unhappy they feel with what direction the writers have taken the character. They believe that Phyllis Summers, and her portrayer, Michelle Stafford, certainly do deserve better. Many have even taken to social media to weigh in on the matter with, “What they’ve done to Phyllis is asinine. She’s a grown women. Why are the writers making her look so childish and weak? Give her a storyline that is meaningful,” along with, “Why are they making Phyllis so childish. The woman has run a business. She has never had a problem finding men. This is not at all interesting.”

Another critic wrote, “Christine should have arrested for pulling that fire alarm I’m sure the hotel has video of her doing it. I’m sure the camera caught footage of Phyllis. What an immature thing to do. Definitely a stalker.”
