This shouldn’t really surprise anyone, but Barron Trump is getting bullied on his 18th birthday. Now that he’s of legal age, a lot of people think that he is “fair game” and should be criticized as much as his father, Donald Trump, and the rest of the Trump family even though Barron is still a high schooler who has had nothing to do with his father’s political campaign or public life for that matter. Barron Trump is celebrating his 18th birthday privately, but publicly critics sure do have a lot to say about it. Of course, many trolls on social media didn’t hold back on Barron even though the boys had never spoken a word in public. One troll even wrote, “Barron Trump turns 18 today. He’s fair game now.”
It didn’t take very long for many people to actually defend Barron even though a lot of them made it clear that they are no fan of their father, Donald Trump. One journalist by the name of Yashar Ali even wrote, “He hasn’t bothered anyone and has never gotten involved in politics or made a public statement. He deserves to be left alone. All children of candidates who don’t put themselves out there should be left alone.”
Many other critics chimed in with, “Really creepy that he’s been sitting around just waiting for the kid’s birthday so he could post that. Very weird that he even knows when his birthday is,” along with, “That is sick and threatening. Fair game for what? My friend’s daughter goes to school with him and says he’s a really nice and thoughtful young man. A sure fire way to change this is for people to start going after him.”
Another critic wrote, “Please discuss the treatment of Sasha and Malia Obama, Chelsea Clinton, and Amy Carter well before they turned 18. If it’s off limits for Barron, why were all of those children fair game?”
