Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that as Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) attempts to build a new life in Genoa City, not all the Newmans will make it easy for her.
There’s two now in particular who are flabbergasted at the very idea that Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) long-lost daughter has been given a free pass.
Could Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) bond over their disapproval of Claire? Even worse, could they conspire against her?
This would not be good for Summer’s new romance with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Y&R spoilers imply that both Summer and Adam aren’t fully convinced that Claire has changed her ways. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is also on the fence; however, he’s remained committed to being “kind and civil” for Vicky’s sake.
Still, while Summer is close to her Aunt Victoria, Adam is far from it. The Newmans are set to have a dinner with everyone in the extended family, “welcoming” Claire to the fold, where Ms. Grace will clash with her newfound uncle.
This opens the door for an alliance between Summer and Adam, as Ms. Newman only recently found out about what happened at the lake house and is unaware that anyone other than her is skeptical about Claire and her true intentions.
The dinner will prove, she’s not the only one who has reservations about Claire.
There’s a good chance that Summer could approach Adam after it all, sharing her concerns about her new cousin. Could they vow to keep tabs on Claire?
Could they possibly decide to scheme against her? Summer has always been the apple of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) eye, and knowing she has “granddaughter” competition in Claire could also rub her the wrong way.
Summer has finally snagged Chance, and the two have a cute and steamy romance going. One thing Chance has yet to see is Summer’s scheming side, which generally does not surface, but has been known to make an appearance now and again.
Plus, he has his own history with Adam, and while they were once close, Chance has had to step back when Adam crosses ethical lines.
Chance is a good guy, who will likely be nice to Claire and give her the benefit of the doubt when he meets her. Will Summer’s animosity towards Ms. Grace cause Chance to rethink a relationship with her?
Could Summer bonding with her uncle also have him wondering about his new gal pal? He’s not into toxic women, so Summer better watch her step!

Adam needs to leave Claire alone. And so does Summer. If Chance finds out what Summer is up to he may end their relationship. She will try to convince him otherwise. I think that Victor should kick him out from the family. He is nothing but trouble.
