General Hospital Star Finola Hughes Opens Up About Adam Harrington Replacing Antonio Sabato Jr.

It’s not always easy filling in for someone else’s shoes, but clearly someone’s gotta do it. General Hospital star Finola Hughes recently opened up about her new co-star Adam Herrington replacing Antonio Sabato Jr. as the new John in Port Charles. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Finola admits that she and John have been getting to know one another and that so far she loves working with him in front of the cameras. She put it this way, “I adore him. He’s so great — both of our new actors, Adam and Charles Mesure [Brennan], are. Mark [Teschner], our casting director, is just knocking it out of the park! They’re both wonderful people and really good in the roles that they are playing.”

Finola also added that it wasn’t very easy for Adam to come in and take over the role that was last played by Antonio Sabato, Jr. Apparently, the actor was not asked to return to General Hospital. But Finola said, “It was a really hard thing for Adam to come in and play John, Jagger. It’s very difficult and he knew that. But he’s done a lot of homework. He watched everything. He knows more about GENERAL HOSPITAL in the ’90s than I do!”

General Hospital Star: What’s Next For John And Adam?

Finola also says that Anna has been very suspicious of John. She explained, “I think that’s the best word for how she feels about the FBI coming into her jurisdiction. They go drink for drink. It’s actually quite funny,” while also adding, “And she can’t confide in Valentin, she can’t confide in Sonny and she can’t confide in Dante. Those are her go-tos. So, she goes to somebody else who’s in law enforcement.”
