After one The Young and the Restless fan suggested that it’s high time that Phyllis Summers gets her groove back and snap out of the funk that she’s in because of her love triangle with Danny and Cricket, it didn’t take very long for other critics to weigh in on the matter as well. Because if there’s one thing that we know about Phyllis, it’s that looking pathetic is something that does not suit her.

Some other replies have included, “Honestly I don’t think they even know what to do with her anymore. I watched this scene today and it was so cringe. She could’ve stayed in her room drinking a bloody Mary,” along with, “All this of a man who NEVER loved her. She’s doing a parody of a depressed person. The show trivializes depression – the people either try to jump off roofs or they haunt bars engaging in boring conversations about their lives.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Phyllis Summers?

Another critic wrote, “I agree but with how the show is based now, the limit of new characters, just like Phyllis kissing Nick, which he rejected, anything she does feels a repeat. I did love how she called out Billy. I can’t see her next steps being anything more than just a repeat of past actions.”

And then there was this comment as well, “Let her continue being pathetic and chase that marginally talented over aged singer, for lack of a better term, anything to get her off the screen. Their habit of having strong independent women going off the rails over men is so tiring! How many men have been in Fairview?”
