Donald Trump is feeling very thankful for Michelle Obama these days. Not only that, but there’s also a good chance that he might be breathing a huge sigh of relief simply because she’s decided not to run for office of the President of the United States. Instead, it looks like current President Joe Biden will continue his campaign for a second term, despite concerns from his own party members. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Just this week Michelle Obama announced that she won’t be running for office, even though there was a lot of speculation suggesting that she would be replacing Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket. But Michelle has made it pretty clear that she has no interest in getting back into the political game, especially since she and her husband Barack Obama are living a pretty comfortable lifestyle outside of Washington, D.C. right now.
For Trump, this is excellent news. That’s because he knows that he would have had a fierce competitor with Michelle Obama as his opponent. But with Joe Biden, he knows that he’s going to win all of the debates. Even the Democratic party has been worried about the decline in Joe Biden’s cognitive health. At least, that’s what he thinks. With Michelle on board, things wouldn’t have looked the same. She would have given him more of a fight in the race to the White House as she would have garnered a lot of support from her husband’s fans.
Now, whether or not Joe Biden is going to continue his campaign remains to be seen but there’s also been heavy speculation that California Governor Gavin Newsom might replace him as well. So far Newsom has made no comments about the matter and neither has Biden about the future of his campaign. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details as they come in.
