Eric, who is often very vocal about politics on social media (and more so than about his job or daytime television), took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to gripe about the 2024 Presidential election. That’s because it looks like former President Donald Trump will be facing off Joe Biden for the keys to the White House.

The actor put it this way, “And the ORANGE GUY calls our country a joke? He has made it so!!! That alone should make him persona non grata! And now SENATOR NO, the guy who blocked more reasonable bills than any Senator in history, who after Jan 6 turned against the Orange guy, NOW is endorsing this walking disaster! You can’t make this s..t up!!”

Of course, it didn’t take long at all for Eric’s social media followers to weigh in on the matter. Many of them wrote comments such as, “I don’t know, the current guy in charge has shown himself to be somewhat duplicitous but it’s masked with a ‘statesman-like’ demeanor. But orange guy lacks that demeanor and so his faults appear front and center,” along with, “Besides the silly plots Y&R has written up.. now you are politically ruining millions who would watch ? I bet you didn’t take the clot shot but swear you did to keep your job.”

Another critic wrote, “I’m sure the gated community that you live in is very diverse and is what you consider our COUNTRY. Someone is finally standing up for the people who live outside of your gated COUNTRY.”
