Is Y&R Star Mishael Morgan Making The Move To CBS Soap The Gates?

Now that CBS has made their huge announcement about their plans for a new soap opera The Gates, everyone is wondering what to expect! In fact, there’s some speculation that actors like Mishael Morgan from The Young and the Restless might make the jump to the hottest new daytime television show. Is Y&R Star Mishael Morgan Making The Move To CBS Soap The Gates?

CBS has announced that they are developing a brand new soap opera called The Gate with former The Bold and the Beautiful head writer Michele Van Jean. The show will be about a wealthy black family residing at an upscale gated community. 

There’s already some speculation on social media that some of the hottest soap opera stars might join The Gates. Some daytime television fans have even taken to social media to weigh in on the matter with, “Mishael Morgan would be a good get for The Gates. Y&R doesn’t appreciate her. I don’t think Michele Val Jean would make the same mistake,” along with, “She’s my first thought. Emmy winner who has proven she can be your every day lead. Not that others can’t do it but something to be said for having shown you can. Vinessa Antoine would also be a great get but not sure if she wants to return to daytime.”

And then there was this comment as well, “Mishael would be great. I do think The Gates does need to get at least one name actor. Whether it is Victoria Rowell or Debbi Morgan, either one would make sense. You need eyeballs when launching a new show and the target audience, Black people, knows Victoria and Debbi.”
