The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease it could be a dream come true-or a disaster when Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) hit the sheets! They’ve been slowly getting to know each other better, and have become smitten with each other-but what will happen their first time with each other?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Baby Steps

Chance and Summer have shared a kiss but otherwise they’re really taken baby steps in their relationship. That’s probably a good thing since slow is the way to build a relationship that will be solid, instead of jumping into bed and falling in lust instead of in love. They started out as friends, and so there’s a genuine warmth between them, not just the romantic fires that many mistake for true love.

They care too much about each other to rush into things, and even so, they will plan to land in bed eventually. They are too attracted to one another to not wind up hitting the sheets one of these nights.

Y & R Spoilers: Sparks Will Fly, But Will Someone Put Out The Fire?

Unfortunately for Chance and especially for Summer, no one would be surprised that when sparks start to fly, someone will interrupt them and put out the fire! That could very well be Summer’s mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

There’s nothing that is more of a turnoff than someone’s mother interrupting one’s special first time with someone, especially when one is a grown woman!

Phyllis seems to have a special talent of butting into her grown children’s love lives at the wrong time, and it happened once already. She and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) interrupted Chance and Summer’s dinner date at Society and embarrassed her. What if she barges in on them and they’re in bed?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Maybe, Maybe Not

Perhaps Chance and Summer will get lucky and no one will interrupt them as they consummate their relationship. Maybe Phyllis will be too busy chasing after Danny Romatotti (Michael Damian) and interrupting him and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) to worry about Summer’s love life. Hopefully, their romantic night will be just what they hoped it would be or perhaps exceed their expectations.

But if Phyllis barges in on them en flagrante delicto, or something else happens to kill the mood, their first time could wind up being a nightmare. Not only Summer, but Chance as well are likely to give Phyllis a tongue lashing and then some!
