General Hospital Spoilers: Ace Cassadine’s True Paternity Buried, Will The Secret Die With Esme?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that there’s an elephant in the room where Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) is concerned. After all, while Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) claimed Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was the father, no DNA test was ever taken to confirm this; an anomaly in the land of soaps since Esme was such a schemer.

It’s entirely possible that Ace isn’t Nikolas’s son; it’s also entirely possible that he isn’t even a Cassadine. Will this secret get buried for years or will a paternity test ever get done on little Ace?

GH Spoilers: Who Is Ace Cassadine’s Real Father?

GH spoilers suggest fans can’t seem to shake the fact that Nikolas never demanded a paternity test from Esme when she returned to town.

In all fairness, this is because he locked her away to keep the baby for himself once she gave birth, and the storyline continued with over-the-top twists and turns since then. Nikolas has been more than preoccupied with drama since Ace’s birth, and unfortunately, now, he’s locked up in prison.

Still, it’s equally odd that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) never insisted on Ace getting a paternity test once the baby came into this world. After all, there must be tests that could prove he and Ace came from the same father or were siblings, at the very least.

Not only is this the land of Port Charles, where anything is possible, but as Esme was a vile human, she could have landed in bed with someone else before, or shortly after she did the deed with Nik, making them the father of Ace. There’s also always the idea that Spence is Ace’s dad.

GH Spoilers: Will This Be A Years-Long Mystery?

With Esme, Nik, and Spencer out of storylines right now, this paternity question will continue to be swept under the rug. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) are about to adopt their grandson/grandnephew, and there’s no reason to bring up the issue of his paternity if all parties involved in that storyline are not in the picture.

Still, will this become a mystery buried for years? Could Ace grow up believing he’s a Cassadine, only for something to surface when he gets older?
