The Young and the Restless news says that if there’s anything that we’ve learned about Melody Thomas Scott over the years, it’s that she’s definitely got the biggest heart in the daytime television world. And she managed to prove that once again by doing something absolutely amazing to celebrate her 45th anniversary on the show. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Melody’s co-star Eric Braeden shared a photo of them together alongside Lauralee Bell on X (formerly Twitter) in front of the Project Angel Food headquarters in Los Angeles. He captioned it with, “Today is Melody’s 45th anniversary on Y& R! She wanted to celebrate by volunteering in the kitchen of this wonderful organization!”
Of course, many of Eric’s social media followers commented with, “You three look fantastic! I can’t believe Melody is celebrating 45 years on the show. Time really does fly. Happy 45th Young & The Restless Anniversary Melody. Here is to many more years. ROCK ON,” along with, “How wonderful is this? Yes Melody! Happy 45th anniversary to the Queen. I will be turning 60 next month and I can still remember me and my grandma watching Y&R back even when I was a child. We watched religiously. You folks become like family to us. I hope @MelodyThomasSco had a great birthday and love to Cricket too.”
Another fan wrote, “45th anniversary?! Did she start working on Y&R when she was 5 years old?!? Cuz she doesn’t look a day over the golden year herself! My granddaughter has all of our family volunteering March 28 to make and serve breakfast for the homeless. Love you all.”
This is such a great way to celebrate a wonderful milestone for a daytime television favorite. With that said, we wish Melody so many more wonderful years on The Young and the Restless to come!
