Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that the rumor mill is lit with speculation about Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) fate.

As fans know he is being blackmailed by Clyde Weston (James Read). Together with Ava (Tamara Braun) he must do the evil doers bidding, or else Clyde will hurt the ones they love.

The latest activity saw Stefan shoot Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) in order to keep Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (last played by Camila Banus) safe.

Barash told SOD about his reaction to Camila Banus exiting as Gabi: “I mean, I was confident enough in my storytelling abilities to know that I wasn’t just going to go on the back burner and ride off into the sunset.”

Based on that comment confident Barash doesn’t think that his character is going anywhere. Plus, Gabi has been recast so there’s every reason to believe that she and Stefan will eventually hook up again.

DOOL Spoilers: What’s Next For Gabi and Stefan?

Reports indicate that Cherie Jimenez has been cast as Gabi, and will debut after the strike material concludes. According to Barash “there has to be chemistry” when he mentioned NuGabi, which some are interpreting as proof that he was chem tested with the new actress.

Adding gas to the rumor mill fire, fans noted that Jimenez followed Brandon Barash on Instagram after it was revealed she is joining the Peacock show. And, on February 7, the official Days Instagram account also posted a pic of Barash indicating that he is still filming.
