General Hospital Spoilers: The Truth is Out About Carly, Dex, and Michael — and Drew Questions Why He Didn’t Know

General Hospital Spoilers suggest Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was pained by having to admit to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) wasn’t the traitor her ex-hubs thought he was.

Covering for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), and insisting she was the person who paid Dex to watch over him, Sonny knew right away that she was lying.

While he’s reeling from the reality that his whole family has been lying to him for more than a year, his concerns might pale in comparison to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) — who won’t take well to learning Carly kept this from him all of this time as she conspired to protect her ex-husband.

If it was no big deal, why the secret? Why is she still on board with protecting the guy, and why does she think he can’t take care of himself?

Why would she implicate Michael further when he was trying to get out of this underhanded mess? All good questions she’ll have to answer — but will she think Drew has any right to demand such from her?

As usual, Sonny won’t be happy with this latest betrayal at the hands of his family. He’ll have to continue co-parenting with Carly, but that doesn’t mean he has to like it.

He’s been estranged from his baby mamas before, and he ensures that his children don’t suffer because of it.

But this will be new territory, because historically, Carly is always the woman in his life who can essentially do no wrong. This time, she crossed a line, and she’s going to feel that deeply as Sonny starts to put her away.

GH Spoilers Say Sonny is Always in Her Heart

Carly will talk a good game insisting that Sonny will always matter to her because he is the father of her children, but this is the first time she’s ever doubted his ability to keep himself safe and run his own business.

Is that because Carly stepped into the role while he was away and now thinks she can do it better than the guy who has been for thirty years?

If so, that seems generous of her to paint herself in such a light — too generous for Drew to believe, perhaps. The bottom line is — Drew deserves the truth about why Carly went to such great lengths to keep an eye on the man she was supposed to have left behind nearly two years ago.

If she hasn’t, she may not be as ready for romance with Drew as he thought.

Carly won’t be able to handle the reality that Sonny no longer trusts her the same way he used to. That’s going to be quite obvious, and it’ll lead Drew to question how emotionally attached Carly still is to her ex.

If he matters to her this much, maybe she has unresolved feelings about him she needs to attend to. Or, maybe that’s Drew’s easy out he’s been looking for from this relationship since Carly does nothing but hold him back from seeking revenge on Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Wartros) as of late.
