Spencer Cassadine, is that really you? General Hospital fans couldn’t help but feel shocked over a new photo of actor Nicolas J. Bechtal. Because let’s just say that he looks nothing like we remembered him when he was still on the show. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Nicolas took to his X account to share a new selfie for his 19th birthday. Many of his followers commented on the pic with, “Ummm…what? Little Nicky this you? Happy Birthday lol. But wow I wouldn’t have recognized you because you’ve changed so much. Very handsome,” along with, “No one said you were allowed to grow up. I can’t believe this happened so fast. You are a grown man! What a change in a few short years. Lol. Happy birthday!”
Another fan wrote, “Just as handsome as very the very best Spencer ever! We would love to see you back on the show as you are definitely missed.”
Back in November, Nicolas’ tribute to his late co-star Tyler Christopher sure did break a lot of hearts. Sharing a throwback photo of the two of them together, Nicolas wrote in his caption, “Our chemistry was unmatched. Working with you for so many years was a pleasure and a blessing. Some may argue we were the greatest Father/Son duo on Daytime, and I agree. My heart is with Greysun, Bo, and all of the people who love you. Rest In Eternal Peace.”
One fan wrote at the time, “You and Tyler brought us so many incredible moments on #gh. You were father and son – our Cassadine princes. I’m so sorry because I know you loved him as so many of us did. It’s heartbreaking.”
Now, whether or not Nicolas comes back to General Hospital remains to be seen. We hear that there is a certain role open for him – hint, hint! Someone get this talented young man back on the show!

Now Nicolas appears as mature as the the other teens he was growing up with. If he is added to canvas, hope he gets a good part.
