General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s Suspicions Take Dex To The Pine Barrens

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) suspicions, fueled by Brick (Stephen A. Smith) take Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to the Pine Barrens!

Dex has been working with Sonny long enough to know he may not come back alive; the Pine Barrens are where Sonny dumps bodies.

General Hospital Spoilers: Brick Presents Compelling Evidence

Brick became suspicious of Dex when they were at the Savoy and he saw Dex’s platinum credit card. Brick does some investigation and finds out Dex has an offshore account-but doesn’t find Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) made the deposits. Brick brings the evidence of Dex’s offshore accounts and the deposit history to Sonny, and Sonny’s convinced.

Sonny goes on high alert about Dex presented with this information, being convinced someone on the inside of his organization is trying to kill him. Brick doesn’t help Dex’s cause by convincing Sonny that one way to avoid Sonny’s bullet is to put a bullet in Sonny!

GH Spoilers: Frank Lyon’s Tracking Dex Heller

Sonny’s bodyguard, Frank Lyon (his real name, Frank Lyon) formerly called Paulie, is keeping an eye on Dex and tells him the boss needs to see him. But what’s different is Frank grabs Dex and puts him in a car along with another Corinthos henchman, and doesn’t tell him where they’re headed, except Sonny’s in the car.

Once in the car, Dex can tell there’s something off with Sonny-but there’s so much going on, with his betrayal by Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and the death of his nephew.

Dex and Sonny had become very close and at this point Dex doesn’t know what’s going on, exactly-it doesn’t occur to Dex he’s in trouble yet. Dex’s only secret he’s keeping is that when he first came to the Corinthos organization Michael had hired him to infiltrate it and turn Sonny into the Feds.

General Hospital Spoilers-Dex Heller Realizes He’s At The Pine Barrens

Dex wonders if Sonny figured out something about who the inside job was done by on the island, but doesn’t dream he’s under scrutiny for it. He is aware that he got a payment from Michael, but now it’s for protecting Sonny, not for trying to take him down. He asks Sonny if they’re in the car for security purposes, but the atmosphere is tense and Sonny is silent at first but then starts talking about loyalty-making Dex very nervous.

By the time the car stops they are at the Pine Barrens and Sonny confronts Dex about the payment to the offshore account, wanting to know who he’s working for. Dex doesn’t want to expose Michael and hopes Sonny can see he’s not the one targeting him-but realizes he may surrender his life before he can get a chance to explain!
