Days of Our Lives News: Brandon Barash Has Some Things To Say About Steve Burton

There’s friendship and then there’s the soap opera kind of friendship. Days of Our Lives star Brandon Barash recently opened up about working with his good friend, Steve Burton. As many soap fans already know, Steve was on DOOL as his original character Harris Michaels for the past year. But he’s now moving back to General Hospital to reprise his role as Jason Morgan. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Brandon opened up about Steve entering the plot picture. He told the publication, “Oh, I was ecstatic. I love Steve as a person. I enjoy him as an actor. He’s another one who always shows up prepared and willing to play. He takes his job seriously, but still has fun. I consider him one of my closest friends.”

Now, as far as the two of them playing adversaries, the actor explained, “It is, yeah. It’s always fun to play an adversarial relationship with someone who you are the complete opposite with off-screen. It’s fun to go head to head.”

Days of Our Lives News: Brandon and Steve’s Friendship Throughout The Years

As many fans know, Brandon and Steve first worked with each other on General Hospital before making the jump to Salem. The two have managed to remain friends this entire time. Brandon said, “I worked with Steve for a time on GH. We were even allies at one point. And obviously we work together in our band [Port Chuck] off-screen. But Tamara and I weren’t on GH at the same time, so we never worked together. We did work together on DAYS, as Ava and Jake [Barash’s former character]. They were engaged.”
