Days of Our Lives star Brandon Barash has opened up about the possibility of seeing Stefan and Gabi on the canvas again. And it seems like he might be holding on to some hope here. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Brandon says that he wasn’t sure about what the writers were going to do with his character after his co-star Camila Banus (ex-Gabi) left the show. He said, “I mean, I was confident enough in my storytelling abilities to know that I wasn’t just going to go on the back burner and ride off into the sunset. But I was curious as to who they were going to pair me with, what that pairing was going to look like, and what those characters were going to do together.”

When asked about the possibility of having Camila come back to Days of Our Lives, Brandon said, “I mean, honestly, at the end of the day, it leaves it very open-ended for her return… for plot points to develop. It’s very smart of the writers to dangle that proverbial carrot.”

He also added, “I’m hoping for a return in any form, be it Camila coming back or a recast. There has to be chemistry. Thank you for bringing that up, because chemistry is one of the most important elements of that relationship. These two characters have a carnal lust for one another, but they love each other deeply.”

Now, if Gabi DiMera were to come back it would have to be with a recast as actress Camila Banus has made it clear that she has no intentions of returning to Days of Our Lives anything soon.
