General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, January 24 tease someone’s anxious for test results, someone is suspicious, and someone else is shocked.
Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) is anxious for test results, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is suspicious, and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is shocked.
With Spencer and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) set to go to Paris together, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) asks Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) wouldn’t it be better if Trina went without him?
Portia obviously still has mixed feelings about Spencer, even though she seemed to give Trina her blessing about him, albeit grudgingly. Portia still thinks she knows what’s best for her daughter, but does she-really?
She didn’t think it was best for Trina to know Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) wasn’t her birth father either. Everyone knows how that came out, she almost lost her daughter forever!
As Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) gets ready to throw a bon voyage party for Trina and Spencer at the Savoy, Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) worried.
He can see that something has Curtis on edge, and he tells him he’s noticed. Curtis looks worried as a glass statuette or possibly an ice sculpture of the Eiffel Tower is behind him.
Curtis definitely has something on his mind as he looks nervous and worried-perhaps he also has second thoughts about Trina going to Paris with Spencer. But there are other things he could be preoccupied with as well, for one, what’s next for him now that he felt a pin prick in his foot.
Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) runs after Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) with accusations, as he’s leaving Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) house.
Spinelli accuses him of being interested in Maxie, as he warns he knows what he’s doing and it’s not going to work. Little does he know Cody is actually Maxie’s stepbrother and her kids’ step-uncle.
Cody’s just trying to be the best stepbrother and step-uncle he can without revealing he’s Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) son and lied about their paternity test. There are a few who know the truth, but Cody doesn’t feel he’s worthy of Mac.
At TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) and Molly’s place, Molly is anxious for the pregnancy test results from her sister Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
She tells Kristina if it’s too much, tell her, and she’ll back off. Both sisters know that artificial insemination is a hit or miss process, no matter how much temperature-taking Kristina does to see if she’s ovulating. As the saying goes, if at first they don’t succeed in producing an embryo, they’ll just try, try again.
Spencer’s suspicious of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and he has no trouble saying so. He’s talking to his grandmother Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and telling her she has to know that Esme is planning something. Spencer is right-Esme is planning something and they have to be vigilant.
She’s already been to see her birth mother Heather Webber (Alley Mills) in prison and she’ll do anything to get Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) back. And when Esme says anything, she means anything-they can’t be too careful.
In the meantime, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) is talking to Esme about family-and in particular, about Laura. Kevin looks Esme straight in the eyes as he tells her he wouldn’t underestimate what Laura will do for her family.
Esme looks disturbed and nervous, likely wondering if Spencer’s convinced her that she’s gotten her memories back, and therefore her old evil personality. Would Laura turn her in for her legal charges based only on Spencer’s word-can Kevin tell she’s gotten her memory back?
Laura has made it over to the prison where Heather is currently housed, and she scoffs at Heather, wanting to know how on earth could she know that?
Obviously, Laura went to tell Heather their mutual grandson has been kidnapped by his father, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). Heather already knows from Esme so Laura will easily deduce that Esme was already there to visit her birth mother.
That won’t exactly engender trust in Laura of Esme-but then she already went to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) rather than the police to find Nikolas and Ace.
Cyrus was a good brother to Laura and great-uncle to Ace because he called both Laura and Spencer, forcing Spencer to tell the truth to Laura.
