According to The Buzzcast, there’s speculation that General Hospital head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor might have both gotten the boot. While no one knows if this is true or what might have prompted the producers to let go of the scribes, it seems like a lot of General Hospital fans think this might have been a very good move. That’s because they aren’t very keen on some of the more current storylines. Some fans think that Executive Producer Frank Valentini might have had something to do with the move.

Of course, many General Hospital fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some have even commented with, “As long as Frank is still there, I don’t expect much to change. Still, this was long overdue. New blood for GH that is a good thing, meanwhile JG continues his boredom tour with YR, it is absolutely an awful show,” along with, “What a dream come true. Those two shits are the absolute worst thing to happen to GH and ALL literate people everywhere. Nothing but putrid garbage spewed forth from their assholes. We all hate Liz Korte, too. She has to go.”

Another General Hospital critic wrote, “From our lips to the soap gods. Please let this be true. The show needs a huge overhaul and not just from the writing team. The storylines have got to go. The actors deserve better than what they are getting.”
