General Hospital Star Evan Hofer Opens Up About His ‘Amazing’ Date

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Evan admitted that he and Maurice Benard were each other’s dates. How funny and fun, right? We can only imagine what a night out looks like with the one and only Sonny Corinthos. The actor put it this way, “Mo and I went together and had the best time. I picked him up and we left from there and the whole night was awesome.” Hofer cherishes the bond he has forged with Benard over the time they’ve been working together. “I’m more grateful for him every single day.”

Evan also said that he’s had nothing but a positive experience working with Maurice on the set of the hit ABC soap. He’s been more than just a mentor for the young actor. He’s also been the kind of friend that a lot of people don’t have in their lives. He explained, “From day one, he’s been warm and generous. He’s so wonderful to me, and I just love getting to hang out with him and chat with him.”

Not only that, but Maurice has also become good friends with Evan’s parents, too. His mom even said, “‘Mo doesn’t bond with everybody like he’s bonded with Evan. Their bond is very special.”
