She certainly deserves better than what the writing team is giving her. At least, that’s what a lot of fans and critics alike can’t help but believe. It seems like Sharon Newman has gotten herself in the middle of a hot mess of a love triangle with Chance Chancellor and Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless. Apparently, some Y&R fans have been blaming Sharon for Summer wanting Chase. They are making it look like Sharon is the bad person in this love triangle even though she was with Chase first. Whatever the case, other critics think that Sharon deserves better. This relationship with Chase is not worth it if it’s only going to cause her problems in the long run.
It goes without saying that many The Young and the Restless fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some have even commented with, “There is no bad person in this triangle. Sharon wanted a carefree romance, which is understandable given her recent widowhood. Chance wanted more. She didn’t so she ended it. He understood. Summer didn’t go after him when he was with Sharon despite her mom and Chelsea.”
Another fan wrote, “I am aware. Summer expressed interest in Chance but she wasn’t the reason for the break up. I’m just tired of the elite making Sharon the bad party here so they can make Summer look stronger. Both women are equals on this show.”
