General Hospital spoilers reveal not everyone is ready to see Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) reunited and feeling so good.
Sonny and Carly have toyed with their never-ending on-again-off-again romance over the years, and the fans have been strung right along with them — most of us happily.
But when Sonny came home from Nixon Falls and surprised everyone with the mere fact that he was alive, he likely never really understood the magnitude of his arrival.
It interrupted what was bound to be a very real and meaningful marriage between Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Now that we know Jason is coming back to town — also shocking everyone with the reality that he is alive — fans are rather divided on who they hope Carly ends up with.
Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman) dying has changed everything. Once again, we are brought full circle with Carly and Sonny coming together to hold one another up.
Sonny’s marriage is on the brink of falling apart, and it’s truly up to him whether it does or not. Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) may have been the one to break their union, but Sonny gets the final say on where they end up. In the meantime, he’s going to be a strong supporter for Carly in her time of need.
Will they end up closer than ever once again as a new and appalling version of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) leads Carly to turn away from him?
Jason is coming home, and Carly is going to have some major decisions to make as a result of it. He may have just been her best friend on paper when he left town to allegedly never return, but his suddenly alive status may compel Carly to wonder if she’s missing out on what could always be her last chance to explore a life with Jason.
She would be lying if she said she didn’t feel robbed of that when Sonny returned to Port Charles to reclaim his life with her.
This can go one of two ways? Well, sort of. What most of us really want is the best of both worlds. We want Carly to somehow side off into the sunset with both of these men.
For years, we settled for Jason as her bestie while she held down the fort as the mistress of the mob. But when Sonny “died,” and Jason became her other half, we saw how much more suited he was for the role of Carly’s husband. Now, we want to see them bring that life to fruition — and we know we never will if she couples back up with Sonny now.
In other words, if she settles down with Jason first, there is time for her to later end up back with Sonny and hang onto Jason as the other man in her life. But we know it’s not likely to see things go down that way the other way around. Thus, Carly must reunite with Jason soon. Oh please, oh please!

Definitely Sonny & Carly together again. That is the only right way. Jason is best friends to both Sonny & Carly & that works. Get rid of Nina....I'm tired of her whiny self
I agree we all know that it’s just a matter of time before it happens. Why hurt more people. Besides Jason with Carly makes no sense why would she want him when at the end of the day he will always be loyal to Sonny? It won’t be believable for them to be together and besides they are better friends than romantic partners.
In my mind, I view Carly and Jason as forever besties. It irritated me when they went into the romantic zone. I prefer her with Sonny. Jason should be with a new love or at best back with Sam. I did however, love him with Britt. That was a new start for Jason. Too bad she was killed off.
I think Jason needs to find someone new. As for a Sonny and Carly reunion YES I love them together. Nina need to be with Cyrus and then have him take her out
No!! Like it or not, Sonny and Carly are written in the stars and should be back together. No one gets them like they do each other! Jason and Carly come close, but unless they change Jason’s character drastically (hope not) he would never make a move on Carly as long as Sonny is still there and available. And it looks like he will be available soon! Jason needs someone new. So sad Britt is gone! Please not Elizabeth, and not Sam unless Lulu comes back and Dante goes back to her!
