Last week the show honored the late actress Jacklyn Zeman via two days of airtime revolving around Bobbie Spencer’s life and times.
In particular, fans were delighted that the show found a way to bring back a former GH actress to the screen. On both days fans saw Brighton Hertford play a reporter named Angela Brighton.
As a child actor Hertford played Bobbie’s daughter, BJ Jones. The character said she was an AP reporter from Amsterdam who was writing an article about Bobbie.
Brighton interviewed Bobbie’s loved ones to round out her article, and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) sat through each interview.
Later there was a tearful moment when Maxie and her mom Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) realized that the reporter was in fact Angel BJ whose heart was donated to Maxie. There was not a dry eye in the audience.
News of Steve Burton’s return to the soap as Jason Morgan continues to reverberate through the fan base. After Burton revealed that he departed Peacock’s Days of our Lives as Harris Michaels, the ABC show confirmed his return.
Jason was presumed dead in a 2021 tragedy, but of course his body was never recovered. Cue the soapy violins: Burton appeared on the primetime special, General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling, and let fans in on the secret that Stone Cold is back, ya’ll!
Burton’s daytime debut came on DOOL in 1988 and his latest stint as Harris lasted one year. Burton is done filming at DOOL and we will tell you when his GH first airdate is revealed.
Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) was in PC for a brief time and had a chance to catch up with Felix DuBois (Marc Samuel), a scene GH fans had been hoping for. Also connected to Bobbie’s memorial was the character Cornelia, played by Ellie Darcey-Alden.
