Is someone trying to rewrite history here? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder as some are accusing Prince Harry of supposedly making up a lie about his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. A few years back he said that he gave the queen a heads up that he and Meghan Markle would be naming their daughter Lilibet and that they had gotten her blessing to use her nickname. According to new reports, the Queen of England was none too pleased when she found out that Harry and Meghan wanted to use her beloved nickname for their newborn daughter. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ended up naming their daughter Lilibet Diana, after both her great grandmother and her grandmother, Princess Diana. Prince Harry had said that Queen Elizabeth was okay with the name and that she supposedly gave her blessing. But now new reports contradict that statement and say that wasn’t the case at all. Instead, the queen was furious that the Sussexes had used her private nickname in such a public manner for their child.

Some critics have commented on the matter with, “Just evil, doing that to an elderly woman grieving the last person who called her by that nickname. And then to LIE! We all knew they were lying because there’s no way QEII would agree to such a thing. What’s up with them giving their children nicknames, instead of proper names?”

Another critic wrote, “Using the name Lilibet is something that was so personal to the Queen. She didn’t even want anyone to call her that after Prince Philip died. None of the other grandchildren used Lilibet for their daughters, they knew not to use it.”

So far Prince Harry himself has not made any comments about the matter.
