GH Spoilers Update Friday, January 12: Favors Asked, Encouragement Given, Warnings Issued

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, January 12 tease favors asked, encouragement given, and warnings issued. Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) asks a favor, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) gives encouragement and Ava Jerome (Maura West) issues a warning.

General Hospital Spoilers: Favors Asked

Esme asks Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) a favor, asking him please, would you do that for me? It doesn’t look like he’s visiting her in jail, she actually pays him a surprise visit.

Perhaps Laura was able to get her out on bail-she’s likely asking Spencer to take care of Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay).

Esme doesn’t know how this is going to come out with Ava throwing the book at her for breaking into Wyndemere. She begged not to be separated from her son, but Ava didn’t seem concerned!

GH Spoilers: Slight Disagreement, Or Is That A Threat?

Meanwhile, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) are at Café Cherie having a meal. They get a little testy, perhaps, as they get into a slight disagreement.

This disagreement may be about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his case, as he as the district attorney and her as Sonny’s defense attorney will be opposites in the courtroom.

Robert may not feel like someone who beat an elderly unarmed man, criminal record or not, nearly senseless deserves a defense. Can they keep the courtroom out of their relationship?

General Hospital Spoilers: Encouragement Given

Back at the hospital, Curtis is awake and in a gown after his surgery and asks what he missed. Waking up is half the battle right there, and he’s definitely awake and lucid. He’ll give Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) some encouragement, she’s a bit out of sorts with someone.

She may be upset with Spencer, having found out he interacted with Esme, and tells someone they don’t have to justify it to her. But at least she doesn’t have to worry about Curtis quite as much as before he underwent surgery.

Elsewhere, Ava gives Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) a warning about Sonny when he’s feeling betrayed. Ava warns that he’s downright dangerous, and his beating of an unarmed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) for little or no reason bears that out.

Nina should just steer clear for a while until Sonny’s had a chance to process her and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) double betrayal. That Sonny has in common with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) – being dangerous when feeling betrayed, and Nikolas will drop in on Ava as well.

General Hospital Spoilers: And The Hits Just Keep On Coming…

And the hits just keep on coming from Sonny, as he’s called Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) into his office-Sonny tells him once he does this for him there’s no looking back.

Sonny wants Dex to finish off Cyrus, which will take some fancy footwork considering Cyrus is still hospitalized. Dex will disguise himself in scrubs as he prepares to give Cyrus a deadly injection, barely missing Nina who was in there talking to Cyrus.

But if Dex is successful, how will Josslyn Jacks (Courtney Fulk) take it if she finds out? That’s something he’ll need to think about.

GH Spoilers: Good Report

Back at the hospital, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) shouts, “Spread the good news”! as it sounds like Curtis’ procedure is successful. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is smiling from ear to ear as Stella is excitedly spreading the good news.

Waking up from the surgery was half the battle and it sounds like soon, Curtis will be on his feet again. There were more risks than promises but it looks like he’s beat the odds.
