While there was some speculation that the Duchess of Sussex would reignite her acting career in Hollywood, that hasn’t happened. According to Express.co.uk, Prince Harry’s wife wants to be the next Oliver Stone in the entertainment industry. And who knows, she probably wants to win an Oscar for her talents, too. She’s even looking to attach her name to a major project this year. One source close to the situation has even said, “She believes the time is right for her to make the leap from actor to auteur.”

Now, whether or not Meghan Markle does become a Hollywood director remains to be seen, but it seems like a lot of critics out there are not buying what she’s trying to sell. Some have even commented on the matter on social media with, “Good grief! Every year it’s something different. Why don’t she work on being a good person and just give up on the acting/Director bit. No one wants to work with her,” along with, “Seven months ago, she was fired from Spotify after 12 episodes, [with the help of multiple producers] because it failed to capture listeners’ interest and had a low production pace. But today, she’s an auteur!”

What’s Next For The Duchess Of Sussex?

Another critic wrote, “She can’t work with people. Directing isn’t about being in charge & telling people what to do. It’s about being sensitive to the ability each actor brings, forging a creative team, bringing out the best in everyone to serve the project. She couldn’t direct a high school play.”

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter.
