General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease soon there will be two brothers and one woman-will Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return split up Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)?

When Drew first came to town everyone thought he was Jason including him, but after Jason inadvertently switched presumed death with Drew, Carly fell for him.

General Hospital Spoilers: Is Drew Cain A Placeholder For Jason Morgan?

When Carly and Drew started getting close, it was after her marriage to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) broke up and after Jason “died” trying to save Drew.

Carly and Jason were always best friends, but an underlying attraction was always there, and when Sonny was presumed dead they married, only for Sonny to reappear on their wedding night!

Drew had many conversations with Carly trying to make sure that he wasn’t just Jason’s placeholder in her heart and she assured him he wasn’t-but is he?

The truth will come out if Carly really loves Drew for himself or for the part that has Jason’s memories when Jason reappears. Drew will be shocked but glad to see Jason as they’d finally bonded as brothers, and he was upset he couldn’t save him-but will that bond be broken over Carly?

GH Spoilers: Drew Cain Is There For Carly Spencer In Her Times Of Need

Drew is there for Carly in her times of need, from her losing Sonny to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to losing her mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).

But underlying Carly’s attachments to Drew is an attachment to his twin, whose memories Drew has, even though he has regained more of his own as time has gone on.

He had been offered to have his old memories replaced but chose not to, although when they were downloaded into his former foster brother Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) he learned some.

That was all prior to his going missing over Afghanistan, and held in captivity in one of Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) compounds.

While he and Jason worked together to free himself and other captives is when presumably Jason lost his life when a tunnel collapsed on Cassadine Island.

Unexpectedly as he returned the first time after being held in the Boronsky Clinic, Jason shows up alive again-ironically, possibly at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house needing help.

Drew lived with Elizabeth and her boys in his Jake Doe days, taking the name Jake from Jake Webber (Hudson West). Elizabeth and Carly bonded over memories of Bobbie, so it won’t be surprising if Elizabeth is the one to tell Carly of Jason’s return.

Now, the truth will come out when Carly is with Drew but his twin Jason shows up. Will Carly stay true to Drew, or will she return to Jason because Drew was Jason’s placeholder all along?
