General Hospital Spoilers hint that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will be grieving the loss of her mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman), for months to come.
She’s going to need someone strong and reliable in her corner to see her through this rough patch. She has already lost so many people in her life, but her mother was the last person she really had who she could go to any time with anything.
While Carly might have felt she could rely on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) before, the person he is becoming will soon reveal that he’s not going to be just who she needs at this time. So, if not Drew, then who?
From the moment that Carly got the call that her mother was dead, Drew was by her side. He made the appropriate calls to her brother and children.
He gave her the permission she needed to hear to push pause and process her mom’s passing before telling the whole world. He held her in his arms in between calls to the Embassy in Amsterdam to make arrangements to have Bobbie’s body sent back to the states.
He made all of the right moves, but he’s been short on patience. Just how long can he keep this up?
When Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) stopped by to confess her colossal sin to Carly, she wasn’t expecting to find Drew there. Still, it gave her the opportunity to come clean to both of them, and that she did.
But it wasn’t lost on Carly that Drew laid into Nina right away, accusing her of being a deplorable mother who wasn’t able to put her children’s needs ahead of her own selfish desires.
That was so uncharacteristic of Drew, and it’s going to continue to haunt Carly in hindsight, alongside other odd bits of Drew’s behavior that just don’t add up.
Forget happy memories of wedded bliss or watching their children grow up together and expand the family. Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may have fallen in love for some of the right reasons many moons ago, but they also fell in love with the toxicity and tension between them.
A great deal of trauma has bonded these two over the years, and it shows no signs of letting up now. Carly will be reeling from her mother’s death for a while, and the news that Nina was the SEC rat has rocked her. But no one is more disturbed and heartbroken than Sonny, and Carly already feels for him.
Will their shared grief reopen the door for a new opportunity to lean on one another and make amends? Will Sonny carry Carly through this tragedy as she carries on her mom’s legacy at Kelly’s? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.

Do feel Drew will play a role during Carly's grief of loss of her mom, but think Sonny will definitely take a major role due to his connection to Bobbie over the years. A closeness (not romantic) will develop between the two as they both grieve.
