Could it be that the tabloid press is trying to protect Prince Andrew now that the Jeffrey Epstein files are seeing the day of light? That’s what a lot of royal fans and critics alike can’t help but wonder. Now, that’s mostly because on the day that the news focused primarily on Jeffrey Epstein’s client list, the royal rota seemed to focus on anything negative that they could say about Meghan Markle. Talk about a master class in deflection, right? Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Is the royal rota trying to protect Prince Andrew? That’s what seems to be on everyone’s minds lately. Angela Levin, who often has something or another to say about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, took to her Twitter account on Tuesday to write, “Meghan’s name is not on her new agent William Morris’s website. Could she have been dropped quietly?”
Of course, Harry and Meghan’s biographer Omid Scobie quickly clapped back with, “#EpsteinClientList: Prince Andrew mentioned 76 times.”
Yikes. It goes without saying that many fans and critics alike had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “Amazing what a half black woman coming into the royal family and then deciding she’s not willing to stay in it can do to these people. Refusing to be grateful and not accepting the abuse has really shattered their self esteem. She to them is the runaway slave who has insulted them further by thriving and being happier away.”
Another critic wrote, “Their deflection game will fall flat. Andrew in his full regalia at the coronation. The press will tell us he’s not a working royal while they stomp kick Harry and anyone that supports him. Yikes. It’s a bad look for the RF anyway you slice it.”
Meanwhile, it seems like the royal family is staying rather quiet. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter. Watch this space.
