General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, January 3 tease shocking confessions, suspicion of ulterior motives, and surprise, surprise!
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) finishes his shocking confession, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is suspicious of his ulterior motives, and surprise, surprise, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) visits Ava Jerome (Maura West)!
At the Savoy, Michael finishes his shocking confession to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) and Willow hear him shout “It was Nina!”
Sonny was angry at Michael holding back, and now he’ll be in shock as he shouts at Nina “It was you?” Nina looks in tears and Willow looks suspicious and for good reason, having just come from Crimson Magazine, newly bonded to her birth mother.
It remains to be seen whether that newly formed bond will be enough to withstand the torrent of shocks to come. Michael’s nowhere near done explaining as far as Sonny’s concerned.
Meanwhile, back at Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) supports her in her time of need, as her world fell apart.
He entered the kitchen to see her in shock, having gotten a call from the embassy in Amsterdam informing her that her mother had died.
Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) had been there for several months trying to straighten out Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) estate; Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) had just returned from trying to help her. Carly will eventually go to Kelly’s, not to work, but to feel closer to her mother.
In the meantime, Tracy’s starting to put the pieces together but it’s likely about a different situation, not about how Bobbie came to pass so suddenly.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) had formulated a plot-mostly Lucy, she just ordered him to do it. Scott is to swoop in romantically on a presumably vulnerable Tracy, and sweep her off her feet.
Then the end game is to milk Tracy of all the money she has and for Lucy to get Deception Cosmetics back. He’d almost have to marry her then kill her to get her money, and even then it’s probably going to her sons in her will!
Meanwhile, back at the Savoy, the fireworks are still happening, and probably more than what happened at the docks to celebrate New Year’s Eve!
Willow remains suspicious of Michael’s ulterior motives, perhaps not even believing his confession since she knows he hates Nina, ever since she stole Sonny from Carly.
Will she be fair and get Nina’s side of the story, or will she be so shocked and hurt she rejects her just as she’s bonded to her birth mother? It doesn’t look like Nina is having such a good year either, Carly’s not the only one.
Surprise, surprise, Ava Jerome (Maura West) is surprised but not shocked to see Nikolas in the flesh-although he’ll put his hand over her mouth to keep her from screaming or shouting.
Ava has suspected that Nikolas may have killed Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and is trying to frame her for it, leaving a gun that could be the murder weapon. Every note has included and photos of Austin shot dead as well, the first one saying “you’re welcome!”
Who else could this be but Nikolas, Ava isn’t afraid, just surprised. She may wonder if Nikolas killed Austin and left all these notes why he’s revealing himself now.
