As many fans can probably recall, Steve joined Days of Our Lives shortly after he got the boot from General Hospital in 2021. Both he and his former GH castmate Ingo Rademacher were let go from the show after their refused to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandates at the time. Well, luckily for Steve it didn’t take him very long to find another home as Days of Our Lives hired him shortly after the vaccine controversy.

In a new interview, Steve addressed exit from DOOL. He said, “Well, I just shot my final scenes here on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and I just want to say, thank you so much to the cast, to the crew. It’s been amazing. I can’t believe it’s been a year already! So, thank you so much to the fans. It’s just — I’m always so full of gratitude. So thank you. Stay tuned.”

Of course, many fans can’t help but wonder what the actor’s next step will be. There’s some speculation that he might return to his General Hospital roots and reprise his role as Jason Morgan. There’s no doubt that if he did, fans would go wild over the move. After all, many have been saying that he needs to come back to Port Charles and take care of business!
