General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, December 29 tease sincere apologies, strong encouragement and sneaky suspicions!
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) delivers a sincere apology, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) strong encouragement, and Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) has sneaky suspicions.
At the New Years Eve party at the Savoy, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) strongly encourages Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) to keep the shocking intel she learned to herself!
Olivia pleads with her bestie to please just accept that and move on, but Lois thinks Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) needs to know what she learned!
What Lois has found out, of course, is that Sonny’s new bride Nina is the rat who squealed on Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to the SEC.
She had just let everyone think it was Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) who made that insider trading report to the SEC that upended so many people’s lives. Lois doesn’t like that, it wasn’t right, and he needs to know what he married as far as she’s concerned.
Alexis is nearly in tears as she delivers a sincere apology to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison). He’s been released from his overnight hospital stay so he must be okay despite his collapse from hot yoga.
Alexis tells him she’s sorry, and pleads with him for forgiveness. Maybe she’s talking about her chickening out to help him complete his bucket list request to go skydiving. When she told about it to her family, she became physically ill thinking about it!
Elsewhere, Spencer is delivering strong encouragement to a hesitant Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and he’s in her face, telling her she has to go, she has to do this!
He finds a letter from the Sorbonne, a prestigious art school in Paris inviting her to study there for a semester. She doesn’t want to go because she doesn’t want to leave him and her family.
He’ll sweeten the deal by offering to spend that semester in Paris with her. That will certainly keep Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) out of their orbit, but will he want to take his brother?
At the Crimson office, Nina finds herself confronted by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) trying to “provoke her to good works”. He admits to her that he was the “priest” behind the partition that she confessed all her SEC sins to at the church.
She’s naturally shocked but manages to keep her cool as she asks what he plans to do with what he knows. Nina has sneaky suspicions that Cyrus will blackmail her with the information, not keep telling her to apologize and ask forgiveness of those she wronged by her actions.
Meanwhile, Ned is elsewhere, talking to Carly and perhaps he’s squealing too and telling her that it was Nina who let everyone blame him for the SEC report.
She looks a little skeptical as she asks him how he would like her to return the favor. After all, she knows from her many years of bad experiences with Quartermaines not to take anything he says at face value.
She would think Ned might have ulterior motives to give her this juicy information. For instance, using it to control Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
