According to the latest Days of Our Lives episode, Nicole told Marlena that she loves EJ but it was Eric that she still cared about and missed the most. She even told the therapist, “And if I’m being honest with you and with myself, in my heart, I wanted that baby that I lost to be Eric’s.”

When Marlena replied with, “Nicole, are you saying that the reason you decided not to terminate the pregnancy is because you didn’t want to deprive…you didn’t want to potentially deprive Eric of being a father?” Nicole responded, “That was the main reason.”

Of course, many Days of Our Lives fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some have even commented with, “This is the biggest issue with Marlena being Nicole’s shrink. With their history, would Nicole feel that comfortable being so honest about her feelings? And when does Mar start subtly dropping hints to Eric about this?” along with, “Yeah, her being her doctor is a huge problem. They need to let her retire so someone else can take over. But I would hope the doctor/patient confidentially means she doesn’t say a word about it to Eric.”
