In fact, a lot of people don’t seem to understand why they are even together and why they have a current storyline seeing how there really isn’t much to their relationship right now. The Young and the Restless fans can’t help but ask: what is going on with Cricket and Danny? The answer seems to be ‘nothing.’ In fact, some people think that Aunt Jordan should stop focusing on the Newmans so much and drag Danny out into the middle of nowhere instead. That’s because his scenes with Cricket have become very mundane, according to several critics.

Some The Young and the Restless viewers have even taken to X (Twitter) to comment on the matter with, “I don’t get why the writers brought Danny in when they could have done the viewers a huge favor and brought back Paul Williams instead. Cricket is acting like nothing but a jealous teenager in front of him,” along with, “The only thing that will get me interested in Cricket and Danny is if Phyllis gets in between them. But until that happens, these two are nothing but a yawn fest. The writers could definitely do better.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Is It Time For Danny To Go?

Another critic wrote, “I’m just not feeling this. They waited way too long to put Cricket and Danny back together. They just don’t have the same chemistry that they used to have. It’s done. Plus they did Doug Davidson dirty by not bringing him into this. With him, at least this storyline would have had an interesting love triangle. Now we have nothing.”
