Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Ashley Puzemis, who plays Holly on the hit Peacock soap, says that her character has been botting up her emotions about Johnny for quite some time. She says, “She’s anxious and overwhelmed. In the moment, it’s like, ‘Maybe I should tell my mom, get her motherly advice and see if it helps the situation.’”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Tate tells Holly that he bought her a Christmas and birthday gift and the two of them agree to attend New Year’s Eve at The Bistro together. Right before the party, the two of them kiss. Ashley previews, “I think she’s a little nervous, because the whole time she’s been into Johnny, nothing’s ever been reciprocated. Now she knows that, being with Tate, it is [a mutual attraction]. He does like her and he is into her. She’s a little bit nervous about their date, and since it’s New Year’s Eve, obviously, people kiss at midnight. So Holly’s like, ‘Let me just get it out of the way and do it right off the bat so its not awkward at the end of the night.’”
