It looks like there was a good reason why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not included in the royal family holiday festivities this year. That’s because if there was one person who was going to make sure that the Sussexes were going to stay in California, it was Prince William. There was no way that he was going to allow Harry and Meghan to come back for Christmas, and especially not his estranged sister-in-law. In fact, it might even be the Prince of Wales who blocked Meghan from returning to the UK altogether. Here’s what you need to know.
As many royal fans are aware of by now, Prince William is no fan of Prince Harry’s wife. He was even the one person who tried to discourage his brother from marrying the former Hollywood star as he felt as though they were going too fast in their relationship. Well, Harry didn’t listen and married her anyway. However, their marriage has been anything but peaceful. It’s been nothing but non-stop drama for Harry and Meghan and things got so bad for them at one point that they had to pull the plug on their working relationship with the royal family.
While there was some speculation that suggested Harry and Meghan wanted to patch things up and come back to the UK for Christmas, William was going to make sure that wasn’t going to happen. There’s no way that he and Kate Middleton could ever eat Christmas dinner with the Sussexes, let alone be in the same room as them. That’s why there’s a good chance the future king of England showed everyone that he’s someone that can make things happen or worse, block things from happening. That’s probably why Harry and Meghan had to spend Christmas alone once again in California this year.
