While she might not have been very visible in the past, it looks like all of that is about to change. There’s a new report that says former First Lady Melania Trump wants to hit the campaign trail running. That’s because she’s interested in helping her husband, former president Donald Trump, actually win the election in 2024 despite all of the setbacks he’s experienced lately. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Page Six, fans can definitely expect to see Melania Trump much more in the upcoming year. One source close to the situation even told the site, “Trump and his family are so secure that he will become president again that insiders at Mar-a-Lago say he’s reached an agreement with [wife] Melania [Trump] to step up top-tier diplomatic appearances in 2024.”
Apparently, something must have happened between now and then as Melania Trump is feeling much more comfortable in the spotlight and is even willing to take on her critics ,too. Melania was actually surprised by how well-received she was at Rosalynn Carter’s funeral earlier this month, when she appeared with the other living past first ladies, including Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton and Laura Bush.
The insider added, “She is feeling more sure of herself — as both her husband’s representative and her own position as a diplomatic figure after her positive reception at the Carter funeral.”
One of the reasons why Melania wants to be more pro-active is because her son Barron is now 17 and she feels like she can finally take on a bigger role in her husband’s campaign. The tipster also said, “Melania realizes it’s her time to join the ranks of historic first ladies and leave her mark on history… She feels better prepared for her potential role the second time around.”
So far Melania Trump herself has not made any comments about the matter. Watch this space.
