General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Grows Interested in Michael — and Dex Reports Back to Him at Just the Right Time

General Hospital spoilers reveal Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will be watching Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) like a hawk now that he knows he’s in cahoots with Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) — and all behind Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) back.

Overhearing Michael and Nina’s conversation in Rice Plaza on Christmas Eve was a holiday blessing as far as Cyrus is concerned. He finally has some intel that he may be able to use against Sonny.

Targeting him in his weak spot — his family — is Cyrus’ specialty. But getting more information on what Nina and Michael were talking about won’t be easy. Yet just as Cyrus is stressing over how he’s going to do that, another gift might fall into his lap.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Isn’t Michael’s Only Asset

Part of keeping an eye on Michael means watching his interactions with others. Cyrus just might have to send one of his lackeys to do that kind of work, because Michael obviously isn’t going to stand for Cyrus circling around him everywhere he goes.

Will he send a plant into ELQ or Aurora to spy on Michael, or does he have something more clever up his sleeve? When Cyrus learns that Nina isn’t the only person reporting to Michael as Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) shows up with information on Pikeman and Sonny’s latest business entanglements, Cyrus will grow more interested in how he can exploit Michael’s shifty behavior.

GH Spoilers Hint Dex Isn’t Who He Seems?

Seeing Dex report back to Michael is certainly going to raise Cyrus’ eyebrows and leave him with lots of questions. At the same time, Cyrus may have more intel than Michael does on Dex.

We got a glimpse of Dex’s past and personality when he made it quite clear to Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he didn’t want a Christmas tree in his apartment.

As bits and pieces of Dex’s personality come into better view, Cyrus could offer some background information that clues us into where Dex came from, and why he was so eager to take this job with Michael spying on Sonny — prepared to sabotage him from the inside.

While he’s not on that track anymore, Cyrus knows that if Sonny found out, he would probably never forgive Dex. But Dex isn’t the real problem, is he?

General Hospital Spoilers — Lies That Bind

The most painful thing Cyrus can imagine putting Sonny through is losing his family, and he won’t need to eliminate them to make that happen.

Rather, he just needs to rattle the foundation of this already-shaky family who are just now getting back to normal and rebuilding their broken relationships.

Obliterating Sonny’s connection to Michael would leave him on unstable ground, which will only make it easier to take him down, from Cyrus’ point of view.
