Daytime Television Breaking News says that there’s been a sad announcement. There are new reports that say actor Kamar de los Reyes, who was best known for his role on One Life to Live, has passed away on Christmas Eve. The actor was only 56. Here’s what you need to know.
Kamar, who was best known for his role as Antonio Vega, died after a long and lengthy battle with cancer. In addition to his work on daytime television, he was also known for contributing his voice to the Call of Duty video game franchise. The actor also starred in Salt with Angelina Jolie and in The Cell with Jennifer Lopez. He was born in Puerto Rico in 1967 but grew up in Las Vegas. He leaves behind his wife Sherri and their three sons.
It goes without saying that many One Life to Live fans were terribly saddened upon hearing the news. Even though it’s been years since he was last seen on the canvas, viewers remember him fondly as his character Antonio.
Some fans have even taken to Twitter to comment on the matter with, “This is such heartbreaking news. He was such a handsome guy and he’s gone way too soon. How terribly sad!!! My sympathies to his family!!” along with, “Oh no not Antonio!!! I stared to watch OLTL because of his storyline was good! What a sad year of losing soap stars! It’s sucks enough but why on Christmas Eve? RIP I LOVED him on OLTL!! I’m going to have to watch a few clips today.”
Another fan wrote, “That’s heart breaking. As a fellow cancer survivor, cancer sucks. My heart goes out to his family. I’m beyond sad to read this news. My heart goes out to Sherri and those beautiful boys. RIP Kamar…”
