Realizing that there has been so much dialogue about Nina and her relationship with Sonny online, Cynthia took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to write: “Thank you for all your love and support. What a blessing it is to be able to work with this amazing cast. Thank you a million times for your continued love and kindness.”

Of course, many General Hospital fans didn’t take very long to respond to her tweet. Some of them even wrote, “You are one tough cookie. Because your character takes a beating from some fans that are unable to separate make believe from reality. I think how you portray Nina is a testament to your ability as an actress. Great Job!” along with, “I’m not a fan of Nina, but I’m a HUGE fan of Cynthia…your portrayal of this person of very questionable character is spot on!…I wish the writers would lighten up though, cuz it’s not gonna be easy to turn Nina around…but they did it with Ava (I also adore @MauraWest ) imo..so.”

Another fan wrote, “It takes a lot of emotion to play a character that elicits so much negativity from so many, and unfortunately too many can’t separate your acting from your character. You’ve set fire everywhere Ms. Watros, and even though I am not a fan of Sona, I am a fan of yours. Happy Holidays!”
