While at the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards, General Hospital Executive Producer Frank Valentini said that the show is telling a very important love story between Carly and Drew. But are they really? Many General Hospital fans have made it clear that they are not invested in the couple and worse, that they might be the ‘worst’ couple on the show, too. While some fans think that Carly should go back to Sonny, others say there just should be less of her on the show.

Some have even taken to Twitter to comment on the matter with, “The only thing I can see being important about that love story is the importance of giving one of the actors something to do & the other one a chance to remain in a role that does not suit him at all,” along with, “Valentini remains stuck in an audience of one (HIM) on the worst couples on the show. Crew and Fiz are his New Peter. He thought he was a great villain. CM was a terrible hire. He is mocked across the net.”

Another fan wrote, “It’s weird that the phrase very important love story is used here. To me, that always implied social relevance/importance in telling it, like Robin/Stone, Brad/Lucas, even Sprina (though their being interracial isn’t the focus of their story).”
