Y&R Spoilers Monday, December 18: Nate Snitches on Nikki Drinking, Victor Accuses Him of Lying?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, December 18 tease that just when Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) thought he was over and out with the Newman family, he is drawn back in in a most unexpected way.

Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) mind games resulted in Nate getting the boot, after Nate tried to get the former committed for what he thought was dementia.

In a startling and ironic turn of events, Nate could be drawn back into the drama due to Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) health struggles.

The Newmans were kidnapped, drugged, and Nikki lost her sobriety all at the hands of Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).

She has her family thinking she is sober again, but she is drinking on the sly, even though attending AA meetings.

She is day drinking at home and using her flask in the office. One of these times she is bound to get caught, and it could be by former doctor Nate who witnesses her drinking. There is no love lost between them, but as a doctor Nate would want to help the woman who might have been his mother-in-law.

Nate won’t have hard evidence that Nikki’s losing her sobriety fight, but he’ll definitely be suspicious and will feel the need to give Victor updates.

Show spoilers reveal that Nate delivers bad news to Victor in the jazz lounge just as Nikki sees them together. Does she know what is going on?

Nikki would not want to be confronted by either man and she will leave before that happens.

Nikki is skating on thin ice. On Thursday’s episode her daughter Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) almost caught Nikki at the bar at the ranch.

It isn’t helping that Jordan is taunting her from afar, and Nikki is a strong and proud woman who won’t want to admit that she needs help.

All of these factors point to a recipe for disaster, with Nikki denying she has a problem, and Jordan lurking in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Victor may accuse Nate of playing games, but if he’s honest with himself he will realize that Nate has no reason to worm his way back into the family at this point, and that Nikki went through a horrible ordeal and needs an intervention.
