General Hospital Spoilers: Years Of Secrets Kept And Now A New Bond

Stella kept Marshall’s secret for years, that he left his wife, Stella’s sister and two boys in shame because of a schizophrenia diagnosis that wasn’t even correct.

Irene Ashford (Cheryl Francis Harrington) and Stella agreed with Marshall before he left to just tell everyone he died, and they held a faked funeral.

He disappeared for years before showing up in Port Charles, but didn’t reveal who he was for months-obviously he’d kept up with his remaining son Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Over the years that Marshall’s been back, and Stella and he have been around each other, it seems that now there’s a new bond. With so many things from their past tying each other together, it should be no surprise a romance may be starting.

GH Spoilers: Marshall Ashford Tried Dating Epiphany Johnson

Marshall tried dating Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) before she left Port Charles-but it never got very far, although he encouraged her to follow her dream of becoming a doctor.

Marshall was brokenhearted, as everyone else, to hear of Epiphany’s death after assisting and saving a life in a traffic accident. Marshall and Stella have always been close as friends, although now as they’re older they’re having a new appreciation of each other, not to mention of how short life can be.

Stella hasn’t done much dating since she left to take care of Curtis and Tommy Ashford (uncast) as children after Irene became ill and later died.

It seems like when people are older, even though they still have capacity for passion, it’s mainly companionship that bring them together, and that can evolve into romance.

General Hospital Spoilers: How About Dinner At The Club?

Marshall asks Stella how about dinner at the club-Curtis’ club, The Savoy is what he means, considering it’s kind of the “family business”.

Stella has never actually been there, always either busy with her job or in England visiting her cousin, and Marshall has been pulling manager duty frequently as Curtis has been recovering. Now that Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and her mob infested poker game is gone, Marshall feels that The Savoy is a much safer place.

They actually have a nice time, Stella sees what a good job Curtis did with his first club ever, and she’s proud. There’s music tonight, and they have a good time getting to know each other as more than the patriarch and substitute matriarch of the Ashfords!
