The Young and the Restless fans all can’t help but wonder and ask: did Sharon Case get the shaft this year at the Daytime Emmy Awards? A lot of people thought this was going to be Sharon’s year, seeing how she had a major role in the Cameron Kirsten storyline.
Sharon, who plays Sharon Newman on the hit CBS soap, lost the Outstanding Lead Actress award at the Daytime Emmys. The statue instead went to The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. And of course, a lot of fans sure do have a lot to say about it.
Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “I do think Sharon Case will probably be nominated in Lead Actress again next year. Probably along with Finola Hughes, Melody Thomas Scott and Arianne Zucker,” along with, “I feel it’s going to be a very tight race next year. Sharon, and Fiola were powerful. I do feel it is Melody’s to lose… YR can split votes again which I what I think happened to Melissa’s Emmy this year between her and Case.”
Another The Young and the Restless fan wrote, “And for the people asking why my queen Sharon is on the list. The work she did with the Cameron storyline was a masterclass.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Who knows…the race for this is ridiculous..it will be the same actress next year…till she gets fired or moves on..not fair to the others. I think Stafford is a lock for a nom next year. I’d add her to my list, which includes all you already mentioned.”

Even tho Sharon was my favorite, I think all the other ladies did a great job, and to br nominated is a great thing to remember, they were all beautiful. just remember we the fans are always having your backs. Congradulations to all these beautiful ladies. Their is always next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I think they all did a great job. Only 1 can win but their is always next year. And the actresses and actors all did a great job, keep up the good work and we will sure be watching.
